“We’re not your typical company,” says Steve Langford, Vice President of Marketing at Wesley Clover. “We’re a company that doesn’t even have a product. Our product is companies. We have to have our own website but it’s not like a typical website, it’s purely informational. A place to tell our story online.”

Wesley Clover’s unique situation meant that their website and online presence had to showcase their skills and experience in a visual, informative way without the typical offerings of a company website such as products or services. That balance was achieved through a clean design integrating Wesley Clover’s signature colours of black and red with straightforward navigation for potential partners and stakeholders. Marvel & Snap’s website revitalization didn’t stop there: utilizing Wesley Clover’s vision for their company and integrating existing content, Marvel & Snap revised and refreshed pertinent content throughout the site, resulting in an entirely new, seamless experience.

“Now they’re not even concerned. Since we’ve come on board to partner with them, they don’t have to worry about the website any more. It’s always managed and up to date. If they want to feature a new company, they send it to us and it gets put up immediately,” says Langlois.

Every month, Wesley Clover, through its philanthropic arm known as the Wesley Clover Foundation, hosts TechTuesday, a networking event celebrating Ottawa’s high-tech community. When the company was searching for a way to increase attendance and bring attention to the monthly event, they turned to Marvel & Snap for strategic guidance.

Marvel & Snap built an attendee portal to communicate with targeted audiences and allow interested parties to register online. This initiative increased TechTuesday’s attendance from about 50 people per month to over 300, skyrocketing interest in the event. “The ability for that portal to scale up has been incredibly important to us, and Marvel & Snap has done so very reliably,” Langford says.
